30 Oct 2026 8:52pm

A man was arrested following an alleged domestic assault in Adelaide’s western suburbs this morning.

Police were called to a western suburbs home by a report of an assault at 8.30am on Friday 30 October.

The suspect had left the scene before patrols arrived. However, while travelling to the address, officers spotted a man matching his description boarding a bus nearby.

Officers conducted a U-turn, pulled over the bus and arrested the man.

The 31-year-old Port Augusta man was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated assault, strangulation, theft, property damage and breach of intervention order.

He was refused police bail and appeared in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Police warn they will not tolerate domestic violence and will take every action available to protect victims and hold offenders accountable for their violence.
