Police renew search for missing person Joshua

Police are renewing the search north of Port Augusta for missing person Joshua.

The search, which is being coordinated by Missing Persons Investigation Section officers, will involve the Mounted Operations Unit, SES volunteers, uniform police, local detectives, ground and aerial support assets.

Joshua went missing in late January 2026 in and around Yorkeys Crossing, Port Augusta and has not been located since.

At the time, significant ground and aerial searching involving Polair and drones occurred utilising police and SES resources over a two week period. A review of the search has indicated several other areas in that location which police will now search.

A motorbike which Joshua was seen riding was found abandoned around Yorkey’s Crossing on Saturday 24 January.

Joshua is described as 173cm tall with a stocky build, mullet style haircut and brown eyes. He has a large cross tattooed on the right side of his neck.

Police hold grave concerns for his safety.

The community will see an increased in police presence in Port Augusta as the search gets underway today.

The search will continue for the remainder of the week and updates will be provided.
