Large cannabis find in car and machete seized from address

Eyre Western police located 84 bags of cannabis in a car and a machete during a house search yesterday.

About 2pm on Tuesday 19 August, Yalata Police stopped a Holden sedan on the Eyre Highway, Coorabie. A search of the car allegedly uncovered 84 individually wrapped bags of cannabis.

A 38-year-old Ceduna woman was arrested and charged with trafficking and supplying drugs onto Aboriginal Trust Land.

Continuing the investigation later that day police carried out a house search in Ceduna. It will be alleged a bag of cannabis was located as well as a machete. A 60-year-old man was reported for possessing the weapon and received an expiation notice for the cannabis.
