Two men arrested after stealing a vintage Ford

Police have arrested two men for stealing a car at Mount Templeton.

About 10.30pm on Thursday 25 June, police were called to Phyllis Road following reports of two suspects breaking into a property and stealing a car.

A member of the public followed the suspects and assisted police by providing timely updates, leading officers to the abandoned vehicle at Crystal Brook.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested a 37‑year‑old man and a 36‑year‑old man, both from Port Augusta, for numerous offences including unlawfully on premises, property damage, and theft.

They have both been bailed to appear in court at a later date.
