11 Aug 2026 3:02pm

A man has been arrested after a search in the State’s mid-north uncovered child exploitation material.

On Monday 10 August, investigators from South Australia’s Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET), a joint task force between SAPOL’s Public Protection Branch and the Australian Federal Police (AFP), went to a house and conducted a search as a result of an investigation into online child exploitation material.

A 41-year-old man from the property was arrested and charged with possessing child exploitation material and indecent filming. The man was bailed to appear in court at a later date.

Numerous electronic devices have been seized for further analysis.

Detective Inspector Matthew Fitzpatrick, Officer in Charge of Special Crime Investigation Branch says, "The SA JACET remain committed to identifying offenders and protecting children from harm. We will continue to work with our partners to hold perpetrators accountable, wherever they may live."

Members of the public who have information about people involved in child abuse and exploitation are urged to contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or call 1800 333 000.
