Stolen motorcycles located in the western suburbs

About 5.10pm on Thursday 28 May, patrols spotted a stolen motorcycle on Grand Junction Road and with the assistance of PolAir the KTM motorcycle was tracked along Grand Junction Road and throughout the western suburbs.

The motorcycle was followed to a property at Cheltenham where patrols attended and the rider a 34-year-old man of the address was arrested without incident.

Checks on the KTM motorcycle showed it has been stolen from Alberton in December last year.

It will be alleged when police searched the property a Suzuki motorcycle was also located. Checks on this motorcycle revealed it had been stolen from a Pennington address in March.

The man was charged with numerous offences including unauthorised person to drive a motor vehicle, dangerous driving to escape police pursuit, drive at an extreme speed and dangerous driving.

The man's bail is yet to be determined.
