Henley Beach man charged with robbery

About 8.15am on Monday 29 June, police were called to Military Road following reports a man was chasing another man, who was suspected to be involved in breaking into a vehicle.

Patrols quickly attended and located the men near the beachfront at Grange, where one man was arrested without incident.

Further enquiries allege the suspect entered a property where he was confronted by the occupant. It is alleged the man then produced a knife and made threats before fleeing on a bicycle.

The victim was not physically injured.

The stolen bicycle was recovered and returned to the victim and investigations are continuing.

The man will be charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass,  aggravated robbery, possession of a knife and aggravated assault.

He is expected to be refused bail and will attend court today.
