A man has been arrested after he crashed into parked cars at West Croydon.
About 10.10pm on Friday 15 May, police were called to a service station on Port Road after reports that the driver of a blue Toyota sedan had fallen asleep in his vehicle.
He also appeared to be under the influence.
When police approached the vehicle in the forecourt, the driver woke up and started the car, reversing back into another car before speeding off, travelling north on Rosetta Street where the car was abandoned after colliding with another parked car.
Police searched the area, locating the driver at his home address.
The 30-year-old Croydon Park was charged with numerous offences including driving under the influence, driving disqualified, fail to stop at the scene of a crash and carry offensive weapon, after knives were found in his vehicle.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
