A driver has lost her licence after they were stopped speeding near Peterborough.

About 10.30am on Wednesday 30 September Burra Police were conducting speed detection duties on the Barrier Highway when they recorded a Hyundai station wagon travelling 156km/h in a 110km/h signed zone.

The driver a 38-year-old woman from Salisbury East was issued and expiation notice for speeding and a six-month instant loss of licence notice.

The Hyundai will be impounded, and she will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
