Serious crash Salisbury Downs

About 11pm on Thursday 10 September, police were patrolling in the vicinity of Martins Road and Kings Road at Parafield Gardens when they spotted a stolen Nissan Skyline.

Police activated their lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle however the driver refused to stop and continued driving.

Moments later, the stolen Nissan has attempted to overtake a car in front at the same time a second vehicle was travelling in the opposite direction and a crash has occurred.

The Nissan driver, a 42-year-old man from Elizabeth North, was seriously injured and taken to hospital. He remains in a critical but stable condition.

The drivers of the other two vehicles involved were not injured.

Major Crash Investigators attended the scene.

Northern District police are investigating the incident.
