Driver caught speeding and drink driving at Sheidow Park

About 8.15pm on Tuesday 11 August, police detected a Mercedes sedan travelling 116km/h in a signed 80km/h zone on Lonsdale Road.

The driver a 53- year-old man from the southern suburbs was submitted to a breath test which police will allege returned a positive result of 0.139.

Police will further allege the driver was driving with an expired driver’s licence.

The driver was reported for exceed speed, drink driving, driving on an expired driver’s licence and issued a six-month instant loss of licence notice.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
