Driver arrested after road-rage at Greenwith

5 Oct 2026 7:18am

A drink driver was arrested after an alleged road-rage incident at Greenwith overnight.

At 2.15am on Monday 5 October, Police received a report that a Ford Territory had rammed a ride-share vehicle several times.  The vehicles then stopped at the roundabout at the intersection of Lake Gairdner Parade and Rifle Range Road, Greenwith and the other driver ran off.

Patrols arrived and assessed the scene.  Both vehicles had sustained significant damage and needed to be towed away.

Fortunately, the 31-year-old ride-share driver and his passenger, a 25-year-old man, escaped with only minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.

Police searched the area for the driver of the Ford Territory, locating him a short distance away outside his home address.

The 19-year-old Greenwith man allegedly refused to accompany police for breath analysis and was arrested.  He subsequently recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.116 – more than twice the legal limit.

Police checks revealed he was currently disqualified from driving.

He was charged with drink driving, driving disqualified, fail to comply with direction and two counts of endangering life.

He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 27 November.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has any CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or 1800 333 000 and quote reference 259380.
