Driver arrested after failing to comply with breath test

25 May 2026 6:29am

Police have arrested a driver after he failed to comply with a breath analysis in Woodside.

Just before 9.30 pm, Sunday 24 May Hills Fleurieu patrols were travelling on Nairne Road at Woodside when a Mitsubishi Utility had veered onto the wrong side of the road towards the patrol.

Thankfully no collision occurred and the patrol stopped the driver on Nairne Road shortly after.

It will be alleged the man failed to comply with a breath analysis and was arrested.

The 30-year-old man from interstate was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a direction, failing to keep left on a road and failing to comply with a breath analysis. He was issued a 12-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle impounded.

He was granted police bail to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court in August.
