Drink driver crashes at Prospect

Just before 7pm on Thursday 13 August, police were called to Redin Street after reports a white Hyundai station wagon had collided with a parked Toyota sedan.

Patrols attended and located the Hyundai at a nearby Prospect address and spoke with the driver, a 48-year-old woman from Prospect.

She underwent a breath test and returned a positive result of 0.237 – nearly five times the legal limit.

The woman was reported for drink driving, issued a 12-month instant loss of licence notice and her car was impounded for 28 days.

She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
