Drink driver caught using bike lane at Toorak Gardens

A man has lost his licence and car after being caught drink driving.

About 8.30pm on Thursday 14 August, police spotted a Mitsubishi station wagon travelling on Osmond Terrace within the bike lane.

Police saw the Mitsubishi continue to travel in the bike lane from The Parade to Kensington Road.

Police stopped the car and submitted the driver a 69-year-old man from Glenunga to a breath test where it will be alleged he returned a positive result of 0.140.

He was reported for drink driving, issued a six-month instant loss of licence notice and his car was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
