A youth has been arrested on a train at Edwardstown earlier this morning.
About 10 am on Thursday 13 August, Southern District public transport police were on the Adelaide-Seaford train when a youth was stopped for a random metal detection search.
During the search, police located a knife with a 20 centimetre blade and the 16-year-old boy from Parafield Gardens was arrested.
He was charged with carrying an offensive weapon in a prescribed place, issued a three month transit barring order and bailed to the appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.
