A southern suburbs man has been arrested following a violent domestic violence incident south of Adelaide.
Police were called to a southern suburbs home just after 1am today (Wednesday 21 October) following reports of a domestic incident.
It will be alleged the man assaulted his mother, brother and brother's partner during a dispute then left the scene. It will be further alleged he returned causing damage to a car and leaving again.
The victims were treated by SA Ambulance Service for minor injuries.
Patrols quickly attended and arrested the man nearby without incident.
The 37-year-old man was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of basic assault and property damage and issued with a Police Interim Intervention Order. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
Police Interim Intervention Orders (PIIOs) provide police with greater powers to take immediate action to protect individuals and their families not only from physical violence - but also threatening and controlling behaviour.
Police warn they will not tolerate domestic violence and will take every action available to protect victims and hold offenders accountable for their violence.
Anyone experiencing domestic violence is urged to seek help and report incidents to police. In an emergency, call Triple Zero (000).
