Woman arrested in stolen Jeep at Hillbank

Northern District patrols located a stolen Jeep at Hillbank overnight.

About 11.30 pm on Friday 21 August, Northern District patrols were on Main North Road at Hillbank when checks on a white Jeep identified it was stolen.

Patrols stopped and spoke to the driver who was then arrested without incident.

The Jeep was stolen from an Elizabeth address a few days ago.

Further checks revealed the 38-year-old woman from Elizabeth East was driving without a licence.

She was charged with illegal use and driving without a licence and was bailed to appear in the Magistrates Court on 7 October.
