Murray Mallee traffic wrap up

Murray Mallee Police have reported a number of drivers for traffic offences over the weekend.

About 4pm on Saturday 27 June, police were conducting speed detection duties on Halfway House Road, Annadale when they detected a Tesla sedan travelling at 150 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. The driver, a 54-year-old man from Littlehampton, was stopped and issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and an expiation notice totalling $1,954.

Later that evening, about 10.30pm, Loxton Police stopped a Hyundai sedan on Tower Drive, Loxton for a driver test. The driver, a 46-year-old woman from Loxton, allegedly returned a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.102. She was reported for drink-driving,  issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

Between Friday 26 June and Monday 29 June, Murray Mallee Police also reported three drivers on separate occasions for driving with illicit substances in their system. Each driver received an three-month immediate loss of licence notice and may be summonsed to appear in court at a later date, pending the results of a drug analysis.
