Northern District police have arrested a man after crashing into a police vehicle.
About 12.20am today Friday 31 July, police spotted a suspicious Volkswagen hatch travelling on Waterloo Corner Rd.
Patrols attempted to stop the Volkswagen where the driver has stopped and reversed the hatch crashing into the police car.
Police followed the hatch where it will be alleged the driver has braked heavily causing the patrol car to crash.
The driver a 41year-old man from Adelaide was swiftly arrested by police.
A police officer received minor injuries as a result of the crash and was conveyed to hospital for treatment.
The man was charged with numerous offences including drive a motor vehicle with unassigned number plates, drive a motor vehicle whilst disqualified, drive an unregistered motor vehicle, fail to stop a vehicle when required or signalled, aggravated driving without due care, possess controlled drug and implements, unlawful possession and theft.
His bail has been refused, and he is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.
