Weekend traffic detections in the Limestone Coast

Limestone Coast Police detected the following traffic offences over the weekend.

About 7pm on Friday 29 May, police stopped a vehicle on Commercial Street East, Mount Gambier for a mobile driver test.  The driver, a 23-year-old Mount Gambier man, tested positive to cocaine.  He will be issued with a fine and a three-month instant loss of licence.

About 12.20am on Saturday 30 May, police stopped a driver on Belt Road, Millicent.  The 36-year-old Kalangadoo man recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.172.  He was reported for drink driving and issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence.  He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Just after 9pm on Sunday 1 May, a 33-year-old Eight Mile Creek man was stopped by police while driving on Crouch St North, Mount Gambier.  He recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.078.  Police checks revealed he only held a probationary licence.  He was reported for drink driving and breaching the conditions of his probationary licence.  He was issued with a six-month loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in court.
