Two men have been arrested following investigations into shots fired inside at a Morphett Vale home in the early hours of Monday morning.
It will be alleged two men forced entry to a house on Wheatsheaf Road, Morphett Vale just after 2.30am on Monday 6 July. They assaulted an occupant, fired shots inside the house and stole a black Holden Commodore station wagon from the address.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the shooting.
A 42-year-old Reynella man sustained facial injuries during the assault and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Following investigations, this afternoon, Southern District Police, with the assistance of STAR Group and Police Negotiators, attended a Christie Downs address and apprehended the two suspects.
Two men, aged 23 and 31, were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, property damage, aggravated assault, theft and firearms offences.
They will be refused police bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow, Wednesday 8 July.
The black Holden Commodore station wagon, was later located and seized for forensic examination.
