A man was arrested in the western suburbs this morning and charged with possess child exploitation material.
On Thursday 4 June, investigators from SA JACET, a joint task force between SAPOL's Public Protection Branch and the Australian Federal Police (AFP), attended a residence in the western suburbs and conducted a search as a result of an investigation into online child exploitation material (CEM).
As a result, a 46-year-old man was arrested and charged with five counts of possess child exploitation material.
He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 16 July.
Numerous electronic devices have been seized for analysis.
"Possession of child exploitation material is a serious offence, regardless of its form, format or style. The SA JACET remain committed to protecting children by identifying, removing and prosecuting those who produce, share or possess this abhorrent material" said Detective Chief Inspector George Fenwick, Officer in Charge Special Crime Investigation Branch.
