Drink drivers caught at Whyalla Norrie

Two men were detected drink driving at Whyalla Norrie early this morning.

About 12.15am on Wednesday 3 June, Police stopped a vehicle on McDouall Stuart Avenue for a roadside breath test. The driver, a 42-year-old man from Whyalla, allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.054. He was issued an expiation notice for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.

Shortly after, about 12.45am, Whyalla Police stopped a Holden ute on McDouall Stuart Avenue. The driver was breath tested and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.098.

A 32-year-old Whyalla man was reported for drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
