Drink-driver stopped at Elliston

About 5.15pm on Saturday 23 May, police were conducting Random Breath Test (RBT) duties on the Flinders Highway when a Volkswagen ute conducted a u-turn and took off at speed. The car was followed and stopped near Silo Road and the driver, a 26-year-old Port Lincoln man was submitted to a driver test. He provided a positive blood alcohol of 0.116 and was reported for drink-driving.
