UPDATE: Driver taken to hospital after truck rollover on South Eastern Freeway

Police are investigating a crash at Glen Osmond where a truck rolled and the driver fled the scene.

Just after 3.30am today (Saturday 16 May), police were called to the South Eastern Freeway near Mount Barker Road after reports that a truck travelling towards the city on the down track has collided with the median strip and several road signs, before crossing over to the wrong side of the road and rolling onto its side.

The driver ran away from the area but was located by police about 7.40am.

The 28-year-old man from Salisbury was taken to hospital for assessment where a sample of his blood will be taken for forensic analysis.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Roads have been reopened in the area.
