Man assaulted at West Terrace skate park

Police and paramedics were called to West Terrace at 5pm on Friday 31 July by reports of an assault.

It will be alleged the victim intervened after seeing a group of youths graffitiing an electrical box when the youths turned on him.

The victim was punched and kicked while on the ground.

The 55-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance with head injuries.  His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Two youths were arrested at the scene.

A 16-year-old boy from North Adelaide and a 17-year-old boy from Mount Barker were charged with assault causing harm.  They were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 11 September.
