Four arrested over CBD robbery

Just before 8.30pm on Thursday 24 September, four people wearing masks entered the King William Street store. One of the group threatened staff with a knife before they stole cigarettes and lighters and then ran off.

Thankfully no one was injured.

Patrols quickly responded and located two suspects at a nearby car park while PD Webster and his handler located the remaining two suspects on Waymouth Street. A discarded bag was recovered which contained some of the stolen items and further items were found in possession of the pair.

Those arrested are two 12-year-old boys, a 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man from Renown Park.

They have all been charged with aggravated robbery.

The boys were granted bail, while the 20-year-old man was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
