Experienced officers make the transition to SAPOL

Congratulations to our graduates from SAPOL Transition Program 6!

Another 10 experienced officers have successfully completed the SAPOL Transition Program. This diverse group brings skills from across Australia and the UK, bringing a wealth of international and interstate policing experience, along with inspiring personal stories that reflect their commitment to serving the South Australian community.

Meet Adam, who, after more than a decade with London’s Metropolitan Police Service, made the leap to South Australia for better work-life balance and new challenges.

“Just do it - this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” he said.

Adam’s experience in high-pressure environments and his passion for community service will make a big impact in his new role with us.

Meet Sam, who served six years with Victoria Police in General Duties and the Public Order Response Team. Originally from South Australia, he returned home for family and lifestyle reasons.

“South Australia is a great place to live and work. SAPOL offers fantastic support for experienced officers,” he said.

Sam’s excited to start policing close to the stunning coastline and wine country.

These officers will be posted across the state, ensuring communities across South Australia benefit from their skills and experience, with graduates heading to Whyalla, Mount Gambier and Port Lincoln as well as locations across metropolitan Adelaide.

SAPOL continues to recruit experienced police officers from interstate and overseas.
