Join SAPOL at the Royal Adelaide Show

South Australia Police (SAPOL) is all set for nine days of fairground fun at the Royal Adelaide Show from 5 to 13 September 2026 at the Adelaide Showgrounds.

Throughout the Show, uniformed and unmarked patrols, police dogs and horses, bicycle patrols, and Public Transport Safety Branch members will be working across the Showgrounds and surrounding areas to help keep the community safe. Police will also be enforcing reduced speed zones around the Showgrounds for the duration of the event.

Sapol's Display

A highlight of SAPOL's involvement each year is the corporate display in the Jubilee Pavilion.

This year, you'll find us across three sites (E38, F40 and H40), packed with interactive displays, activities and information for all ages.

A crowd favourite returns in 2026, with visitors invited to have their photo taken sitting on a SAPOL BMW police motorcycle.

Road Safety Centre

Road Safety Centre educators will be available to answer questions about road rules and provide information about their free road safety education programs.

Visitors can experience the popular Fatal Five Virtual Reality Experience, have a photo taken in the interactive photo booth and, if they're lucky, meet Jeff the Road Safety Dog.

Virtual Reality - Beware What You Share

SAPOL's Cybercrime Training and Prevention Section will put visitors' cyber safety knowledge to the test with a range of interactive games and quizzes designed to educate and challenge.

Think you can spot a scam? Know how to create a strong password? Put your skills to the test and speak with cyber safety experts for practical advice on scam prevention and staying safe online.

Public Engagement Unit - Protect What Matters

The Public Engagement Unit will be promoting everyday safety, whether at home, on the road, in the community or on the farm.

Visitors can speak with team members about simple and effective ways to protect what matters most. There will also be activities for all ages, including colouring-in activities and badge-making kits for children, educational games for teenagers, and practical safety information for adults.

Police Officer of the Year

The Police Officer of the Year will be announced at 11.10am on Friday 11 September on the Goyder Pavilion Stage.

Presented annually by the Rotary Club of Unley in partnership with South Australia Police, the award recognises an outstanding and committed police officer who demonstrates high standards of professionalism and performs significant acts of courtesy, kindness, understanding or courage.

The Band of South Australia Police

Visitors can enjoy performances by the iconic Band of the South Australia Police on selected days throughout the Show.

From 1.00pm under the Atrium, the renowned Parade Band will perform a selection of popular tunes and marching classics. Then, from 3.15pm on the Boulevard Stage, the 19-piece Big Band will deliver a high-energy performance featuring vocals, brass, saxophones and a powerhouse rhythm section.
