Pauline Cother of Kingston SE Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) was recently presented with the President’s Award for her dedication to the program.

The award recipient is selected by the President of the Neighbourhood Watch Volunteers Association of South Australia Inc. (VASA) and is awarded to a volunteer who has demonstrated exemplary service to NHW.

Pauline, who is secretary of Kingston SE NHW, keeps the committee updated, prepares and distributes the local newsletter and helps to organise the Area’s involvement with the local show and Kingston Christmas Pageant.

She has worked on initiatives to improve safety for gopher users and provided road safety information and high-visibility vests for members of the community at risk on the roads.

According to her nominator, Pauline is a shining example of what it means to give back to community and embodies the vision of NHW by constantly working to build a safer and more connected community.

Pauline received the honour at the NHW 40th Anniversary Awards, held at the Lakes Hotel on Sunday, 23 November.
