This website is a key touchpoint for the community, with over 12 million hits in 2024, underscoring its pivotal role in public information and engagement.
However with one in five South Australians identifying that they live with a disability, and with our state’s growing multiculturalism, accessing online content can be difficult for some.
To improve our web accessibility and provide a more inclusive web experience we have introduced the Recite Me assistive toolbar to police.sa.gov.au The toolbar enables you to customise your experience in a way that best suits your individual needs with the support of accessibility and language options.
The toolbar offers support features such as text to speech functionality, fully customisable styling (font sizing, colouring, etc), reading aids and on-demand live translation tool with 95 languages, including 60 text-to-speech, and many other features.
You can explore the toolbar now by clicking the Accessibility and Language button in the top right-hand corner on our website. To close the Recite Me toolbar simply click on the icon marked “X’” to the right of the toolbar.
