Lost and stolen firearms

If your firearm has been lost or stolen, you must take the following steps immediately:

  1. Notify the authorities

  2. Submit a legal notification

    You are also required by law to submit a PD309 - Notification to the Registrar within seven days of the incident. To complete this form, you will require your gun licence number and firearm particulars including make, model, type and serial number.

  3. Contact SAPOL’s Firearms Branch
