A man has been arrested after he assaulted two men at a shopping centre in Glenside.

Police will allege that about 12.20pm today (Tuesday 7 December), patrols were called to the centre on Portrush Road after reports that a man had assaulted a security guard and a staff member from the centre, before running away to a car and driving off.

The security guard and staff member suffered minor injuries.

Police examined CCTV footage and identified the suspect. Officers then went to a house in Maylands where they located him.

The 60-year-old Fulham man is expected to be charged with two counts of assault.
