Bushfire advice warning for Beaufort

The CFS have issued an advice message for a bushfire burning near Beaufort. The Augusta Highway is now open to all traffic with reduced speeds.

BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE

Issued for Swamp Road, Beaufort near Port Wakefield  in the lower Mid North

The threat from this fire has reduced, however people are reminded to take care in the area. Smoke will reduce visibility on the roads and there is a risk of trees and branches falling.

  • Take care in the fire area over the next few days
  • Take care when driving through the area. Be aware there could be people, vehicles or animals on the road

  • Check your property for fire and embers particularly in roof spaces, under decks, raised floors and in gutters
  • Check in with your neighbours
