Drink driver stopped at Peterborough

A probationary driver has been reported for drink driving at Peterborough last night.

About 7.20pm on Tuesday 19 September, Peterborough Police stopped a Mazda sedan on Kitchener Street after noticing its headlight was out.

The driver was submitted to a breath test and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.072. Checks revealed the driver had a probationary licence.

A 25-year-old woman from Peterborough was reported for drink driving and breach of probationary conditions. Her car was impounded for 28 days and she was issued a 6-hour driver direction notice not to drive. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
