Pursuit at Woodville South

09 Nov 2019 12:41pm

Police are looking to identify a man and woman involved in a short pursuit at Woodville South last night.

About 7.45pm on Friday 8 November police were travelling along Ledger Road when they spotted a gold Holden Statesman with accident damage and painted number plates.

Officers thought this was suspicious and attempted to stop the car however the driver refused to stop and continued driving to turn left onto Port Road.

Patrols pursued the car along Port Road and Woodville Road where it went through a red light at the intersection of Woodville Road and Findon Road.

At this time, police terminated the pursuit due to safety reasons as it had also travelled on the wrong side of the road and the car was last seen heading south on Findon Road.

As patrols searched the area, they found the car abandoned in Malken Way at Findon and a man and woman were seen running off. Cordons were set up and the surrounding streets were searched however the pair could not be located.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at https://crimestopperssa.com.au/
