Update: Thunderstorm warning canceled

21 Mar 2017 12:39pm

The Bureau of Meteorology has CANCELED its severe thunderstorm warning people in the Kangaroo Island, the Upper South East, Lower South East and parts of the Murraylands districts.

While thunderstorms are still occurring in parts of the South East, the risk of heavy rain has reduced for the time being. There is potential for further severe thunderstorms over eastern parts of the State this afternoon and further warnings will be issued as necessary.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:

* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.

* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.

* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
