24 May 2019 7:23pm

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash which occurred at Colonel Light Gardens earlier today.

Just before 3pm on Friday 24 May, police and paramedics were called to Springbank Road after a white Isuzu truck and a cyclist crashed near Strathcona Avenue.  The cyclist was travelling west in the bike lane and the truck was travelling east along Springbank Road at the time.

The injured cyclist, a 41-year-old man from Coromandel Valley, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre where his condition has worsened and now considered critical.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this crash or may have dashcam vision, to contact them. Police would particularly like to hear from the occupant(s) of a white Mercedes sedan which was nearby at the time.
