Two arrested over graffiti - Aberfoyle Park

Two teenagers have been arrested after they allegedly used spray paint to mark graffiti over public and private property at Aberfoyle Park last weekend.

Just after 2am on Sunday 9 June, police patrols responded to several calls of persons marking graffiti on Manning Road.

On patrols arrival they chased two males on foot subsequently arresting them a short time later.

Two men aged 18-years-old from Aberfoyle Park and Flagstaff Hill were both charged with mark graffiti and carry implements to mark graffiti.

There were both bailed with conditions to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 18 July.

The police investigation is continuing after a significant amount of graffiti was located in the area the next day, including damage to bus stops, retaining walls, fences and road signs on Black and Manning Road covering more than 1.5kms.
