Drug trafficking arrests in southern suburbs

Four men have been arrested for drug trafficking following the search of two southern suburbs homes yesterday.

After receiving information, on Thursday 24 November, police searched a property at Noarlunga Downs and located an amount of cocaine and cash.

A search of a car at the premises located cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash.

Three men inside the home, a 28-year-old man from Noarlunga Downs, a 27-year-old from Reynella and a 30-year-old man from Christies Beach were arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug.  The Christies Beach man was further charged with a second count of trafficking a controlled drug and money laundering.  He was refused police bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.

The men from Noarlunga Downs and Reynella were granted police bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 19 January.

Police attended and searched a second home in O’Sullivan Beach where they located a hydroponic set-up and six cannabis plants, about 500grams of cocaine, ammunition, steroids and more than $17k cash.

A 31-year-old man from the address was arrested and charged with trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled rug, two counts of money laundering, possessing ammunition, cultivating cannabis, possessing prescribed equipment, possessing prescription medication and unlawful possession.  He was refused police bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
