A youth has been arrested after two cars were broken into at Huntfield heights overnight.
About 3.30am on Tuesday 13 May, police were called to a home on Troutbeck Crescent after reports of two people acting suspiciously in the front yard.
While police were responding to the area, a second report was received about a person in the back yard of a home on Melsetter Road.
Southern District patrols searched the area with the assistance of Dog Operations PD Duke and located a youth hiding in bushes nearby.
Officers discovered two cars parked on Melsetter Road had been broken into.
No other suspects were located.
A 13-year-old boy from Huntfield Heights was arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises and two counts of illegal interference of a motor vehicle. He was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court on 26 June.
