Man arrested over Ridgehaven car fire

23 May 2020 5:01pm

Police have arrested a man following the investigation into a suspicious car fire at Ridgehaven earlier this month.

About 10pm on Sunday 10 May, police and MFS crews were called to a house in a Dale Avenue, after reports a Hyundai sedan had been set alight with a Molotov cocktail.

Two people were seen running away from the scene.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze, and there were no reports of any injuries.

The incident is not believed to be random.

Today, Serious and Organised Crime Branch Detectives arrested a 25-year-old man from Redwood Park over the incident. The man was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 30 June 2020.

Investigations are continuing to identify the second suspect.

Anyone with information that may assist the on-going investigation is requested to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
