Weapon and drugs seized at country pub

A man was arrested after being found in possession of a folding knife and illicit drugs at Murray Bridge last night.

Just before 11pm Tuesday 11 November, police were called to a hotel on Bridge Street following reports of a man acting suspiciously in the gaming room.

Patrols spoke with a man who was searched and allegedly had a folding knife and cocaine in his satchel.

The 20-year-old man from Ridgehaven was arrested and charged with carrying an offensive weapon in a licensed premises and was bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 5 January.

He was issued with a drug diversion for possession of a controlled drug.
