Two men have been arrested following a short police pursuit last night at Pasadena.
Just after 8pm, Wednesday 25 March, police patrols attempted to stop a silver Ford Territory on Fiveash Drive Pasadena. The driver failed to stop and the car was pursed through back streets of St Marys .
A short time later the Ford was dumped on Auricchio Avenue with the two male occupants running off in a southerly direction.
Police Dog Havoc and the Police Helicopter were called in to assist in the search for the two men.
A short time later, the driver a 31-year-old man was located hiding up a tree in a reserve off Quinton Court. During the arrest process the detained man allegedly spat in the face of a patrol officer.
The Pasadena man has been charged with driving to evade police, assaulting an emergency services worker, driving without a licence and using unassigned number plates.
He was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 29 April .
The passenger in the car an 18-year-old man also from Pasadena was also located, he was not charged in relation to the pursuit, however he was wanted in relation to a theft matter back in January, where he allegedly stole an item of clothing from a letterbox.
The Ford Territory was not reported stolen but was bearing incorrect number plates.
There was minor damage caused to a police car when the Ford Territory rolled backwards at slow speed into a police car.
