Two arrested after dumping stolen car at Elizabeth Grove

Two men were arrested after a police pursuit with a stolen car in the northern suburbs this morning.

Police spotted a stolen grey Toyota RAV4 travelling on Kings Road, Parafield about 11.20am on Thursday 25 November.  The vehicle was pursued for a short distance before PolAir was called in.

The stolen RAV4 was followed to Sampson Road, Elizabeth Grove where it was abandoned and the two occupants were seen to run into a nearby house in Twyford Street.

Patrols were quick to arrive at the house and take the two suspects into custody.

A 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were both arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass and illegal use.  The younger man, who was the alleged driver, was also charged with driving while suspended and dangerous driving to escape police pursuit.  They will be refused police bail and are likely to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday 26 November.
The RAV4 was stolen, along with a grey Volkwagen Amarok, registration XA421U, from a Prospect address overnight.

Investigations are continuing.
