Time's up for two arrested at Mount Pleasant

Two people have been arrested after a traffic stop at Mount Pleasant yesterday uncovered stolen expensive watches and illegal weapons.

Police will allege that about 8.20pm on Saturday 8 June, a patrol stopped a black Holden sedan on Cricks Mill Road after checks revealed the driver’s licence was disqualified.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, police located cash, a small amount of cannabis, two knuckle dusters, a flick knife, two mobile phones, two Hermes watches and a Cartier watch, with the watches and phones among other suspected stolen property.

A 49-year-old man (the alleged driver) and a 54-year-old woman, both of Gawler East were arrested and charged with numerous offences including unlawful possession, possess prohibited weapon and the man was charged with driving while disqualified.

They were bailed to appear in the Tanunda Magistrates Court on 9 July.
