Update: Police request dashcam after break-in

Police are seeking information from the public following a break-in and an assault at an Oaklands Park home earlier this week.

About 4am on Monday 10 February, three men allegedly armed with a steel bar and firearm forced their way into a Bombay Street home and assaulted the occupant.

The men stole personal items from the home before leaving in a white sedan.

The homeowner sustained a cut to his head and was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment.

Police responding to the incident spotted the suspect vehicle on Sturt Road at Mitchell Park. The vehicle was stopped and three men were arrested without incident.

A firearm was located inside the car.

An 18-year-old from Blair Athol, a 22-year-old and an 18-year-old both from Findon were charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated assault, threats to kill, possess a prescribed firearm and theft.  All men were refused bail and appeared in court on Tuesday where they were remanded in custody.

Detectives are asking members of the public who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the white Chrysler sedan being driven by the suspects on Morphett Road, Diagonal Road, Sturt Road and surrounding streets between 4.30am and 4.40am on Monday 10 February  to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
