Suspicious behaviour at Parafield Gardens

Police are investigating an incident at Parafield Gardens today.

About 10.50am on Friday 10 August, a girl was walking to school when a small red/maroon sedan stopped near her at the intersection of Warming and Addison Streets.

The male driver asked the girl to get in the car, and when she refused he got out of the car and grabbed the girl by the arm.

She managed to break free and ran off, and was not physically injured.

The male suspect is described as being of Asian appearance, about 60 years old, and was wearing a dark-coloured shirt and glasses. He also spoke with an accent.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or saw a car or man matching the above description in the Parafield Gardens area is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police will increase patrols in the area, and any suspicious behaviour should be reported immediately via the Police Assistance Line on 131444.
