UPDATE: Woman arrested over stabbing incident at Elizabeth South

A woman has been arrested after a stabbing at Elizabeth South today.

Police will allege that just before 10am on Tuesday 10 September, police and ambulance officers responded to reports that a man had been stabbed on Bubner Street.

When police arrived, they discovered that a man had sustained two stab wounds to the back.

The 34-year-old man was treated by paramedics before being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

A 33-year-old woman from Elizabeth South has been charged with aggravated assault causing harm. She has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 16 October.

The incident is not considered random with the woman and man known to each other.
